Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin III (1970)

Situación típica de un chico de 14 años que quiere escuchar cosas nuevas, y la primera banda que suele salir de varias voces es una sola: Led Zeppelin. Aún no entiendo del todo por qué en general pasa esto, pero si hay algo que casi nunca pasa es que se recomiende este disco. En general el II, el I, o el que no tiene nombre saltan primero, o quizás alguno posterior, pero este disco en general queda medio relegado, vaya a saber uno por qué.

Lo cierto es que es un disco excelente. A su salida no vendió tanto como los predecesores (estamos hablando de números enormes igual), quizás por el nuevo enfoque dentro de Zeppelin. Es un disco mucho más acústico que los anteriores, y ya la guitarra eléctrica y esos riffs galopantes a lo Heartbreaker no existen más. 

El contexto los llevó a eso. Jimmy Page y Robert Plant se juntarían en una cabaña perdida en Gales, sin luz. Por lo tanto, la guitarra acústica se volvió una extensión de su cuerpo:

After the intense touring that had been taking place through the first two albums, working almost 24 hours a day, basically, we managed to stop and have a proper break, a couple of months as opposed to a couple of weeks. We decided to go off and rent a cottage to provide a contrast to motel rooms. Obviously, it had quite an effect on the material that was written... It was the tranquility of the place that set the tone of the album. Obviously, we weren't crashing away at 100 watt Marshall stacks. Having played acoustic and being interested in classical guitar, anyway, being in a cottage without electricity, it was acoustic guitar time... After all the heavy, intense vibe of touring which is reflected in the raw energy of the second album, it was just a totally different feeling.
